It is actually a storage deposit of all the downloads of Waves that you have made since you’ve had Waves on your DAW. At the time I didn’t really understand what this was all about. One thing I can easily suggest you do on your own is to open the Waves Central app, click on Settings, and scroll down to ‘Clear Central cache’. Maybe email Waves and tell them of your problem? I’ve always had good experiences with their Techs. In the course of doing this I watched what they was doing and asked them why this and why that, so it was an education experience.Īs a result my Waves plugin folders are obviously fewer and Waves is seemingly more responsive. I gave him access to my PC and both times they removed a lot of older Waves folders (Waves 9 and Waves 10 for example) leaving only my Waves 11 and Waves 12. However, there were at least two times when I contacted Waves about something else, and the Techs wanted to look at Waves Central and the various Waves storage folders. I run quite a few Waves plugins and don’t have the problems you are having.
